What we are
SgFindLawyer is an independent Singapore lawyer directory and legal-information platform. We help members of the public understand Singapore law in plain English and connect with practising solicitors across seven core practice areas: Divorce & Family, Criminal Defence, Personal Injury, Wills & Estate Planning, Probate, Employment, and Civil Litigation.
We are not a law practice. We do not provide legal advice and we do not act as advocate or solicitor for any client. Featured lawyers are independent practitioners regulated by the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
Editorial standards
Every page on this site is written or reviewed by our editorial team and fact-checked against primary sources on Singapore Statutes Online. Statute citations are hyperlinked to the operative text so you can verify independently. Pages display a "last reviewed" date and are revisited at least annually.
We do not:
- Use phrases like "best lawyer", "top lawyer", or "leading firm".
- Promise outcomes or imply success rates.
- Offer "no win, no fee" arrangements — Conditional Fee Agreements in Singapore are currently permitted only for international/domestic arbitration and Singapore International Commercial Court proceedings under Legal Profession Act 1966 s 115A–B.
- Publish undisclosed advertorial. Sponsored placements are labelled.
- Cite Hong Kong, UK or other foreign statutes as if they were Singapore law.
How we list lawyers
We are accepting applications from Singapore-qualified solicitors. To be featured, a lawyer must:
- Hold a current Singapore Practising Certificate, verified against the Law Society Member Directory.
- Be active in the relevant practice area within the last 24 months.
- Provide a written engagement letter / fee scope to prospective clients.
- Have no current disciplinary findings published by the Law Society.
Sponsored placements are clearly labelled. Editorial picks are based on the criteria above, not on payment. We comply with the Legal Profession (Publicity) Rules 1998 and reject submissions that would breach those rules.
How we make money
SgFindLawyer operates on a flat-fee directory advertising model. Participating law firms pay a flat monthly subscription to be featured. We do not take commission, referral fees, or any percentage of fees billed by featured lawyers — that would breach Legal Profession (Professional Conduct) Rules 2015 Rule 39 (referral fees) and is not part of our business model.
Lead-form enquiries are forwarded at no cost to participating lawyers in the selected practice area. Clients are not charged for the introduction.

Corrections & feedback
Singapore law changes. If a statute is amended, a leading case is decided, or a practice direction is revised, our content may lag. If you spot a factual error, please write to hello@sgfindlawyer.com with the page URL and the correction. We log all corrections and update the "last reviewed" date when content is materially changed.
